Lots of tail rocker will absolutely slow you down.
i noticed StrideSki wasnt an option! 😉
i do this about 99.5% of the time now.
i would attribute my back problems to paddling short skis with no hull speed and landing airs/air dropping on takeoffs. i have tried Sup and it was just as bad for my back, did it for about 4 months and havent since. That being said I started paddling outrigger canoes at 13 and have had back pain since then..
first waveski i ever had! 25$ at a garage sale when i was 13
kills my back, dont hardly do it anymore 😐

kari let me know if you have any questions… you need to find out what density your eps core is. 2 x 6oz s for 1.5 lb or 2 x 6 oz e or 2 x 4 oz s for 2# eps. if you are wanting it strong you need to put belt inserts and fins in high density foam blocks. check out theboardlady.com
